** CTtransit Express Route 950 buses are free through March 31, 2023.

*** Trains 4404, 4414, 4405, and 4467 will have portions of the trip that will be a combination of a train and bus ride as per below:

  • 4404 & 4414 New Haven - Hartford will be on a train / Hartford - Springfield will be on a bus
  • 4405 & 4467 Springfield - Hartford will be on a bus / Hartford - New Haven will be on a train.

Regular fares will be collected for all Hartford Line trips. 

950 Bus Pick Up/Drop Off Locations

  • New Haven Union Station: Outside the West Exit by Greyhound.
  • New Haven State Street Station: The stop for the 950 northbound express service to Hartford is located on Chapel Street, in front of the Elm City Market. To access the stop, riders should cross State Street at the signalized intersection to reach Chapel Street.
    The stop for the 950 southbound service to New Haven Union Station is located at the corner of State Street and Court Street, in front of the Frontier building. 
  • Meriden Station: CTtransit bus shelter in front of the station platform.
  • Hartford Union Station: Union Station Bus Terminal on Spruce Street

Bus travel times may be impacted by traffic and road conditions. 

Bikes on Board

The CTrail Hartford Line allows bicycles on board all CTrail trains based on space availability.

Customers who wish to bring a bike on board an Amtrak Hartford Line train need to purchase their ticket through the Amtrak reservation system and pay an additional fee.
